In the organisational structure of INOVA Spółka z o.o. there are 2 accredited research laboratories, which conduct research in accordance with the scope of accreditation No. AB 1684 and AB 1265 issued by the Polish Centre for Accreditation.

The Research Laboratory includes two testing laboratories:

  1. Mining Bolts Testing Laboratory
  2. Acoustics Testing Laboratory

Mining Bolts Testing Laboratory

Our activities are based on strength testing of mining anchor bolts and testing of anchor bearing capacity conducted both in the laboratory and in underground conditions. 

As part of anchor bolt testing, we check the quality of workmanship and strength parameters.

We also provide control services for Mines and external companies consisting of checking the construction of excavations, including the attachment of running rail slings of crane equipment.

Scope of activities

Tests carried out under the accreditation of the Polish Centre for Accreditation No. AB 1265:

  • Mechanical properties of mining anchors and steel bars at room temperature:
    - clear yield strength Re (force range up to 400 kN),
    - tensile strength Rm (force range up to 400 kN),
    - relative elongation A (force range up to 400 kN),
    - bending strength (force range up to 400 kN),
    - shear strength (force range up to 400 kN),
    - torsional strength (torsional torque range up to 600 Nm),
    - mpact strength KCU (energy range up to 300 J),
    - fracture test KU2 (energy range up to 300 J).
  • Dimensions of anchor rods including fastening elements:
    - straightness of anchor rods (range up to 1 m),
    - linear dimensions of anchor rods, washers, nuts and heads (range from 1 mm to 3,000 mm),
  • Testing of embedded mining anchors in underground conditions:
    - pre-tensioning (range from 80Nm to 400Nm)
    - load capacity (range up to 150 kN).

Tests and services performed outside the scope of the held accreditation of the Polish Centre for Accreditation No. AB 1265:

  • Mechanical properties of mining anchors together with fixing elements at room temperature:
    - testing of rod strength (elongation) (force range up to 400 kN)
    - testing of anchor rod thread strength including nut (force range up to 400 kN)
    - testing of the torque to break the bolt (range from 80Nm to 400Nm)
    - load bearing capacity of mining anchors in laboratory conditions (force range up to 150 kN)
    - testing of load transfer capacity of a stopping assembly (force range up to 400 kN)
    - testing of washer hanger strength (force range up to 400 kN).
  • Testing of test loads for anchors fixing slings of crane equipment
  • Strength testing of binders (adhesive loads, cements)
  • Strength testing of rock samples
  • Strength testing of other mining supports
  • Overhauls and checks on dynamometers
  • Overhaul and calibration of hydraulic dynamometers

Acoustics Testing Laboratory

The purpose of our activity is to provide services consisting in measuring factors harmful and arduous to health in the work environment.

The scope of activities

Tests conducted within the framework of accreditation of the Polish Centre for Accreditation, No. AB 1265:

  • measurement of noise and assessment of exposure to noise at workstations
  • measurement and assessment of exposure to general and local vibrations at workstations
  • measurement and determination of acoustic power level of machines and devices

Tests and services performed outside the scope of the held accreditation of the Polish Centre for Accreditation No. AB 1265:

  • measurements and assessment of the lighting at workplaces
  • measurements and assessment of the lighting of self-propelled and machines and devices and auxiliary lighting/li>
  • measurements of warning and auxiliary/reverse audible signals of machines and equipment
  • measurement and assessment of proper functioning of air conditioning in cabs of machines and equipment
  • measurement of exhaust and smoke emissions from diesel engines installed in machines and equipment
  • determination of emission sound pressure levels at the workstation

Tests are also carried out in underground conditions.
